Overtur for Revit can now augment the laborious task of aligning door numbers with room numbers per active floor plan view. The Room to Door Renumbering (RDR) tool is flexible in how door numbers can be generated and edited by combining different parameter values to create a custom solution for door numbering while reducing the potential for human error. Start the RDR process.
Use the [RDR] command from the Overtur ribbon menu. *RDR is only available when a plan view is open. This feature is not available in schedule or other views and will be greyed out. |

Sync to CentralOvertur provides a reminder to ensure each user has an opportunity to sync changes to the model before sending data to Overtur.

Define RulesOvertur for Revit provides numerous ways for users to generate and apply door numbers by harnessing data within a Revit model.
|
|
Adjust or add additional fields as required.Users can utilize Revit numerous parameters from Door, Project, or Room categories. |
|
Remove or rearrange fields as needed.Users can utilize Revit numerous parameters from Door, Project, or Room categories. |
|
Save and Load Rules.Users can save or load previously saved rules. This ability could promote standards or consistency with jobs that require multiple models. |

Apply the "Rule" and proceed.Click [NEXT] to proceed and use the defined rules to help align door and room numbers. |
|
Auto apply.Overtur for Revit can auto-apply the current rule to doors visible in the active floor plan, quickly making the first pass of all door number updates. |

QA\QC Review.All automation(s) should have QA\QC or validation. Overtur for Revit will then allow for a room-by-room OR door-by-door review process.

Room by Room Review.The RDR interface will guide a user's QA\QC review within the active view by navigating to a selected Room. This action will center the room within the current floor plan. |
|
Review Doors Adjacent to Each Room.Users can then choose doors associated with the room selection, allowing for quick adjustments or corrections for each room or associated door. |

Update Room Information.Often, aligning door and room numbers; will illuminate the need to adjust room name(s) or room number(s). The RDR interface affords users the ability to modify room names and numbers. |

Adjust door numbers as well.The previously defined rules will continue to provide suggestions, thus incorporating the room numbers instantly. Users select the corresponding doors to align with these newly provided room numbers. |
|
Complete QA\QC Review.To complete the QA\QC review process, select [NEXT]. |

Summary Report.As with all Overtur tools, a report is available for historical records or resources for coordination with other individuals. Use the [REPORT] button to save information displayed in spreadsheet format. |

Finish the RDR Process.To complete the RDR process, select [CLOSE]. Rinse and repeat as needed for each subsequent view. |
