Overtur for Revit Plugin Installation Guide
- All versions of the Overtur for Revit Plugin 4.2.2406.40 are currently supported and active
- The most current version of the Overtur for Revit Plugin available is 4.2.2502.54
Allegion is excited to share the latest Overtur for Revit Plugin. As with any software installation, local IT policies may impact the installation of the Overtur for Revit Plugin. We recommend that before you try to install it, you should speak to your local IT administrator to ensure it is permissible.
Local administrator privileges are frequently required to install software and updates. All sessions of Revit must be closed before installing the Overtur for Revit Plugin. The Overtur for Revit Plugin is a single installation for the current version(s) of Revit installed on your computer.
Prerequisites
The Overtur for Revit Plugin is compatible with current versions of Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11 running Revit.
Compatible Versions of Revit -
Revit 2022-2025
Revit 2019 - 2021 with limited compatibility
Non-supported versions of Revit
Autodesk does not currently support Revit 2021 and older versions, however the Overtur Plugin does have these versions available with some limitations.
Overtur for Revit Plugin Download Options
There are two different installation options. Always consult your IT administration team to verify the preferred method of installation. Both options require the appropriate permissions for installing applications.
EXE Installation Requirements
- Ensure Revit is closed before installation.
- Run the installation as an administrator.
The EXE installer includes .Net installation requirements to assist with installation when .NET updates or other components need to be aligned with current Autodesk guidelines.

MSI installation Requirements
MSI is an installer package file format used by Windows.
The MSI format is provided for IT specialists to package and distribute within numerous software deployment applications or services. When using the MSI option for your local deployment, please check to ensure your desktop client is up-to-date with Microsoft .NET Framework or other Autodesk guidelines.
