All versions of the Overtur for Revit Plugin 6.0.x.x are currently supported and active. Minor updates are provided periodically.

Introduction

The Overtur for Revit Plugin connects your Revit workflow directly to the Overtur suite, synchronizing door schedule data, supporting drawings, and documents to a project within the Overtur collaboration web-based environment. This direct data transfer reduces manual effort and helps the everyday Revit user avoid errors, coordinate more reliably with the rest of the project team, and manipulate and check data in their projects with confidence.

Once installed, the plugin will provide an Overtur Ribbon to the Revit interface. The plugin allows a user to send door schedule data to Overtur. Upon completion of generating hardware sets within the Overtur Cloud collaboration platform, the Revit user can retrieve these hardware sets to populate an Overtur-provided or user-selected (pre-defined) parameter within the active model.

Furthermore, Overtur for Revit is compatible with numerous collaboration workflows, including Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, and A360) and Revit Server. As Overtur is a user interface that enhances their own experience, neither Allegion nor any Allegion employee ever has access to the user's Revit model.

6.0 General Features

The Overtur for Revit Plugin 6.0 includes the following enhancements:

Revit 2027 Compatibility (supported versions: 2024-2027)
Redesigned Save (Sync) reminder interface with a more native Revit look and feel
Improved Send experience: export options and default selection during the Print step, plus refined drawing-sharing guidance so the right drawings are selected and shared with confidence
Shared file descriptions are now auto-populated with a snapshot of what was selected to create the file; customization or editing can still be completed within the web interface
Ability to save and select your own schedule layout
New installer technology, replacing the previous InstallShield-based installer
Modeless mode improvements: General Panel and Account/Auth handling
"Ignore Uppercase" now on by default in Spell Check
Bug resolution and interface improvements

Optional Release: 6.0.2609.18

Version 6.0.2609.18 is available as an optional update and addresses a printing/PDF export issue affecting users on Microsoft Windows systems with the August 11, 2026 security update installed. This issue is not specific to Overtur—it affects any WPF-based application that uses XPS for printing or PDF export.

What's Fixed: The printing/export issue caused by Microsoft's August 2026 Windows/.NET Framework update (KB5022083). Users can continue using alternative workflows (send without PDF, add existing files, or upload directly) while using older versions of the plugin. The fix in 6.0.2609.18 restores full printing functionality.

Why It's Optional First: We are releasing this update as optional to allow real-world validation across your environments. Once confirmed to work reliably without unintended side effects, it will become the standard release path.

Compatibility Footnotes

Other installed Revit add-ins may need to be updated, as the Overtur for Revit Plugin is designed to be compatible with the latest updates as provided by Autodesk API Libraries.
The Overtur for Revit Plugin will be compatible with the latest version of Revit available, including hotfixes, which could require a Revit update to be installed.
* The minimum required version was previously scheduled to become mandatory in September 2026. That deadline is being extended to allow comprehensive real-world validation of the printing/export fix in 6.0.2609.18. We are targeting mid-October 2026 to make this version required, contingent on no additional issues being reported. Check back for updates.
